Access SP opens NAVE – “Núcleo de Acolhimento e Valorização da Educação”

Last month, October 2017, Access SP in partnership with local Capão Redondo partners, deployed its first education and support center in the Capão Redondo community

O centro tem como missão capacitar crianças vulneráveis da comunidade de Capão Redondo, reforçando a educação pública que recebem nas escolas públicas locais (para quem frequenta). No entanto, nosso principal objetivo é melhor prepará-los e expô-los para serem líderes em suas comunidades e grandes cidadãos globais – para ensinar as artes da poesia, música, agricultura, história, pintura, cinema, linguística e política. Access SP e NAVE acreditam firmemente que é com métodos inovadores que construímos famílias mais fortes e damos melhores oportunidades para as crianças dessas comunidades vulneráveis. É por meio desses métodos alternativos que acreditamos ser capazes de mantê-los fora das ruas do perigo, do crime e do abuso de drogas e, junto com eles, construir a cultura de paz que todos eles buscam.

Here are some of the PROJECTS AND WORKSHOPS that we are implementing at NAVE:

LITERACY PROJECT Our proposal is not only to teach children grammar, but to interpret the world around them.

SCHOOL SUPPORT Support and reinforcement for homework.

MUSIC WORKSHOP Construction of musical instruments with recycled material and classes with volunteer teachers.

RECYCLING WORKSHOP Arouse interest in the valorisation of solid waste and stimulate creativity.

KITCHEN WORKSHOPS The task is to teach about the origin of food and its full usefulness.

ART WORKSHOPS Being involved with art improves self-esteem, the mind becomes more independent and helps children and teenagers to better understand their world.
